Arnold | Road Railers | I don't know what the prototype for these cars is, but they appear similar in design to the modern Mark V RoadRailers, with a single truck shared between trailers like in an articulated car | |||
Deluxe Innovations | 53' Mark V RoadRailers | Wabash National Mark V RoadRailers | Sold Individually, and in various bulk packs, depending on total number in each run | These are 53 foot trailers. For those not familiar, these are trailers which ride the rails without a railcar, reducing the tare weight per trailer. Early versions had a single rail wheel mounted either between, or behind the road wheels. The more recent incarnation, which are the type represented by the Deluxe Innovations model, don't contain the rail wheels, but instead are mounted to special single truck bogies. one truck is mounted between each trailer, much like an articulated railcar has one truck between each well. |
